Bread Pudding With Brandy Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices white bread
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. milk
Preparation
    Slice
    bread
    in
    1/2-inch wide strips.
    In large bowl, mix eggs,
    sugar,
    salt,
    cinnamon, vanilla, butter, milk and applesauce.
    Place bread strips in lattice pattern in 11 x 7 x 2-inch
    dish.
    Top\twith
    milk mixture.
    If milk mixture seems too much,
    mash
    the bread a little until it absorbs the milk. Bake at 325\u00b0
    for\t1
    hour
    or
    until center is set and bread slightly brown.
