Amish Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 loaf bread, diced and toasted
4 eggs
1 medium onion, chopped fine
3 1/2 or 4 c. milk as needed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. thyme
3/4 c. diced potatoes, cooked or grated (raw)
2 c. diced, cooked chicken
1/2 c. shredded or diced, cooked carrots
3 stems celery, chopped fine
Preparation

Put eggs in bowl and beat.
Add salt, pepper, sage and thyme; mix.
Add 2 cups milk, onion, celery, potatoes, chicken and carrots.
Add bread and enough milk to moisten well.
Substitute 1 cup chicken broth instead of milk to give a good flavor.
Bake in a well-greased casserole at 350\u00b0.
