Ernie'S Minestrone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried navy beans
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. finely chopped onion
    1 garlic clove
    1/2 c. olive oil
    2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    2 c. chopped cabbage
    1 zucchini, thinly sliced
    2 c. macaroni
    1 Tbsp. salt
    4 peppercorns
Preparation
    Soak beans in 10 cups water overnight.
    Bring to boil in same water.
    Add salt and peppercorns, cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Saute celery, onion and garlic in olive oil until lightly browned.
    Add to beans with tomatoes and parsley.
    Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Add cabbage, zucchini and macaroni and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
    Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
