Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. King syrup
1 c. hot water
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Combine brown sugar, flour and Crisco.
Mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for top.
Add to crumb mixture, buttermilk with baking soda (1 teaspoon), dissolved in milk.
Combine King syrup, hot water, granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Mix all together and pour into 3 unbaked pie crusts.
Sprinkle reserved cup of crumbs over pies.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425\u00b0, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake another 30 minutes or until done when toothpick comes out clean.
