Creamed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 baskets small white pearl onions (boiler onions are good if pearls are unavailable)
    2 to 3 c. white cream sauce
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    In double boiler, melt butter; stir in flour.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly until smooth.
    Continue stirring while sauce is thickening, add 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
