Sausage Strata - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bread
butter or margarine
1 lb. spicy country sausage
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. half and half
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation

Remove crusts from bread; spread bread with butter or margarine.
Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
Brown sausage; drain well.
Spoon over bread.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Combine eggs, half and half and salt.
Mix well.
Pour over cheese.
Cover casserole and chill overnight.
Set out 15 minutes before baking at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until set.
Serves 8.
