Lamb Shanks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lamb shanks
    1 clove garlic
    salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. rosemary
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1 bay leaf, crumbled
    4 large onions, thinly sliced
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. dry white wine
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Rub lamb shanks with garlic.
    Place in roasting pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Mix together the herbs, curry powder and bay leaf; sprinkle over shanks.
    Place onion slices on top and pour soy sauce over meat.
    Roast, uncovered, in a 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Cover and roast for 2 hours.
    Pour off fat, then add wine and water. Roast 1 hour more.
    If you need more liquid, add wine and water. Delicious!
