Jewel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    1/4 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. syrup from pineapple chunks
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 c. mild vinegar
    1 c. diced cucumber, drained
    1 c. canned pineapple chunks
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
    Then dissolve in boiling water, stirring in sugar and salt.
    Add pineapple juice, lemon juice and vinegar; let cool.
    Chill to consistency of unbeaten egg whites; then add the drained cucumber and pineapple.
