Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. whole milk
    2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    5 tsp. soda
    6 c. flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening.
    Add molasses, milk and vanilla.
    Sift all dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Yields approximately 3 dozen.
