"422" Hot Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel peppers
    1/2 box salt
    1/2 bottle garlic powder
    1/3 bottle oregano
    1 gal. oil
Preparation
    Wash peppers; remove stems and ends.
    Cut in rings.
    Sprinkle salt over peppers.
    Let stand overnight.
    Mix well so all the salt is dissolved.
    Drain overnight in large colander (with peppers in a plastic bag with a lot of holes punched in the bottom).
