Joe'S Spicy Black-Eyed Peas(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or more slices bacon
    1 (17 oz.) can black-eyed peas
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 minced garlic clove
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Remove and crumble; save.
    Stir remaining ingredients into bacon grease in skillet and cook. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Pour mixture into serving dish.
    Sprinkle bacon and parsley over.
    Serve over rice.
