Fred Harvey Cole Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. head cabbage, shredded
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. salad oil
1 c. cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Stir together cabbage, onion, green pepper and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil the salad oil, vinegar, celery seed, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar.
Immediately pour this hot mixture over the cabbage mixture.
Chill overnight.
Store in fridge.
Keeps well up to 9 days.
