Old Fashioned Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. cocoa
    1 c. evaporated milk
    dash of salt
    2 sticks margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cocoa, salt and milk in pan (I use and it's best to use a black iron frypan).
    Add stick margarine.
    Cut margarine and cook over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 240\u00b0.
    If you don't have a thermometer, bring to a boil and boil for 3 1/2 to 4 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Beat until it begins to thicken.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased dish.
    Cut into squares when hardened.
