White Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dry white beans
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    chopped cooked ham (as much as you like)
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Wash and sort beans.
    Cover beans with water.
    Add onions and celery.
    Bring to boil.
    Add ham, tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar.
    Cook slowly about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
    Add water as needed. Great with cornbread.
