Cheddar Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. carrots, diced
1/4 c. onions, chopped
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. flour
2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
2 c. potatoes, diced
1/2 c. celery, sliced
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. margarine
2 c. half and half
Preparation

Add water, salt and pepper to vegetables.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Do not drain.
Make a white sauce with margarine, flour and half and half.
Add cheese; stir until melted.
Add undrained vegetables.
Heat through, but do not boil.
Serves 6.
