Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced apples
    8 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (save pineapple juice)
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. plain flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 small container Cool Whip
    1 1/2 c. chopped, unsalted, roasted peanuts
Preparation
    Add egg, flour, sugar and vinegar to pineapple juice and cook over low heat until thick.
    Let cool.
    Mix with Cool Whip.
    Add apples, crushed pineapple and nuts.
    Refrigerate until served.
