Doughnuts Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. each: salt and nutmeg
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. jelly or jam
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
    In another bowl, beat egg with milk, 1/3 cup magarine and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture and stir just to moisten.
    Equally spoon half the batter into 12 buttered muffin cups.
    Add 1/2 teaspoon jam or jelly to each.
    Top equally with remaining batter. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven until deep golden (18 to 20 minutes).
    Do not overbake.
