Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
2 qt. water
2 lb. fresh okra
1 pt. raw oysters
4 Tbsp. flour
2 lb. raw shrimp
salt and pepper
5 fresh tomatoes
1 lb. fresh crab meat
2 lb. fresh fish
Preparation

Melt butter and flour.
Make a smooth paste and stir constantly over medium heat until a rich brown.
Be careful not to burn.
Add water, tomatoes and okra (chopped fine).
Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add crab meat, oysters, shrimp (cleaned) and fish (boned and skinned).
Cook 15 minutes.
Add salt and pepper.
Soup should be thick.
Add steamed rice to each serving.
Serves 8.
