Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts or coconut
chocolate chips (optional)
Preparation

Melt sugar and butter together and let cool.
Combine remaining ingredients and spread thin in a shallow pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until done, about 25 minutes.
