Snow Candy Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
dash of salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

In saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, water and salt. Boil to medium-ball stage (240\u00b0). Pour about half of mixture slowly over the stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup mixture to very hard-ball stage (265\u00b0). Beat syrup mixture into egg whites and continue to beat until mixture holds its shape. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Makes 5 to 6 dozen pieces of divinity.
