Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, pinched apart
    1 c. chopped celery
    4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
    1/2 c. green peppers, chopped
    1 medium onion (red makes good color)
    1 c. mayo, mixed with 2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 to 6 oz. grated cheese
    bacon bits (sprinkle on top)
Preparation
    In a large glass bowl, layer ingredients in order.
    Cover and place in refrigerator for 8 to 12 hours.
    Toss lightly at the table.
    Good!
