Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round or chuck steak
    1/2 c. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 c. fat
    1 c. tomato juice or a can of tomatoes
    1 medium onion, sliced
Preparation
    Cut steak into serving pieces.
    Pound flour into both sides of meat.
    Brown in the 1/3 cup fat.
    Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper.
    Add tomato juice or tomatoes and onion slices.
    Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 2 hours.
    This can be cooked in the oven also, and is great cooked in a crock-pot.
