Ingredients

1 small bag Oreos
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 gal. ice cream (any flavor)
12 oz. can evaporated milk
1 stick butter
6 oz. bag chocolate chips
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Crush cookies and mix with melted butter.
Put into bottom of 9 x 13 pan and freeze.
Soften ice cream and mix with a handmixer until smooth.
Spread over frozen cookies and freeze again.
In a saucepan, mix milk, butter, chips and sugar over medium-high heat for 8 minutes.
Let cool at room temperature, then add vanilla. Make sure mixture is totally cool, then pour over ice cream and freeze again.
Nuts can be used between ice cream and topping.
