Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 c. sifted sugar
1 1/2 c. egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Have egg whites at room temperature.
Measure sifted flour; add 1/2 cup sugar, sifted together four times.
Combine egg whites, salt, cream of tartar and flavoring in large bowl.
Beat until moist soft peaks form.
Add rest of sugar in four additions, folding until blended each time.
Sift in flour mixture in four additions, folding in with large spoon.
(Keep turning bowl around.)
When folding in flour and sugar, fold in 1 cup of Angel Flake coconut.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes in ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
