Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 c. water
    2 green peppers, cut into strips
Preparation
    Cut meat into strips.
    In large skillet, brown meat.
    Stir in soup mix and 2 cups water.
    Cover; simmer 30 minutes.
    Stir in pepper strips; cook.
    Simmer until meat and pepper are tender. Blend cornstarch with 1/2 cup of water.
    Stir in skillet until thick.
    Serve over rice.
