Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced cucumbers
    3 large onions
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Wash and slice 1/2 of cucumbers in large mouth gallon jar. Slice onion and put on top of cucumbers. Slice remainder of cucumbers and add. Mix all other ingredients. Stir well and add to cucumber and onion (DO NOT HEAT!). Cover and keep in the refrigerator. Good after 5 days, but are better the longer you wait. Will last up to 1 year in the refrigerator.
