Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices white bread, brown trimmed off
    1 lb. sausage (mild and hot, mixed)
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    6 eggs, beaten well
    2 c. half and half
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Spread bread with butter.
    Put buttered side on bottom of greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Put aside.
