Graham Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. half and half (milk down to 2% works well)
    4 large eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. margarine (butter)
    graham crackers
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    ripe bananas
Preparation
    Whisk together first 5 ingredients over medium-to-low heat in large saucepan, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened and boil 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in margarine (butter) and vanilla. Layer in 2 1/2 to 3-quart casserole dish with graham crackers, bananas and pudding. Repeat layer as needed. Cover and chill. May top or serve with 2 cups whipping cream mixed with 3 tablespoons sugar, beating until soft peaks form.
