Perfect Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening (room temperature)
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix well flour, sugar and salt with fork; add shortening.
    Mix well until crumbly.
    In small bowl, mix water, vinegar and egg; beat.
    Add to flour mixture, stirring until moistened.
    Divide dough into 5 sections.
    Shape each into flat circle.
    Wrap each in plastic wrap or waxed paper.
    Chill for 30 minutes.
    Lightly flour each side of patty, then roll out on lightly floured surface.
    For baked pie shell, place in pie plate; prick bottom and sides.
    Bake in preheated 450\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 5 (9-inch) shells.
