Ingredients

1 lb. margarine
2 c. sugar
1 egg
3 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. lemon flavor
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar well; add egg and beat again.
Add flour and soda to creamed mixture.
Stir in vanilla and lemon. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
Form balls about the size of a small walnut.
Roll in sugar.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Press with a fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
You can roll in sesame seed or nuts, brown sugar or white sugar before baking.
