Vanilla Wafer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. lemon Jell-O
    vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. margarine
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Line a small pan (6 x 10-inch) with vanilla wafers.
    Boil together margarine, egg yolks and sugar until thick.
    Let cool and add pineapple and nuts.
    Pour over vanilla wafers.
    Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water.
    Add 8 or 10 ice cubes and stir until melted.
    Pour over custard.
    Refrigerate until set.
