Pinwheel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 sq. (oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolk and beat again, then add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla. Divide into 2 portions.
    Leave one plain and add chocolate to the other.
    Chill, then roll out both portions into very thin oblong sheets.
    Lay the chocolate on top of the white.
    Roll up like a jelly roll.
    Chill again, then cut into thin slices and bake on greased cookie sheets in oven at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
    Bake about 10 minutes.
    Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
