French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 lb. onions (about 7 c.), thinly sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 qt. beef stock (2 qt. water and 10 bouillon cubes)
    Kitchen Bouquet
    Mozzarella or Swiss cheese, shredded
Preparation
    In large pot, melt butter with oil.
    Stir in onions and salt. Cook over low heat until onion rings separate easily.
    Sprinkle onions with flour and stir.
    Add beef stock and simmer partially covered for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Add some Kitchen Bouquet for color, if desired.
