Best Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ground ginger
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. baking molasses
1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour, salt, soda and spices.
Cut in shortening like pie mix.
Stir in molasses and egg.
Shape into 2 rolls in floured wax paper.
Refrigerate.
Slice 1/4-inch thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle top of each cookie with sugar before baking.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
