Thalhimers' Richmond Room Spoonbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    4 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. flour
    4 c. milk
    7 eggs
    1/2 tsp. each: sugar and baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place cornmeal in a mixing bowl.
    Pour boiling water over. Mix well.
    Stir in flour, milk, eggs, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Beat with a wire whisk until smooth.
    Pour into a lightly greased 8-inch square baking pan.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven until firm and golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes.
