Doyle'S Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter, melted
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    fruit (1 can peaches in heavy syrup or cherry or apple pie filling)
Preparation
    Melt butter. Pour into deep Pyrex or Corning Ware dish.
    Mix next 3 ingredients into paste.
    Spread as evenly as possible over melted butter.
    Spread fruit evenly over this.
    Pour a little of the fruit juice over it (reserve some juice).
    Cook about 1 hour at 350\u00b0 or until top is golden brown (crust rises to top).
    After done, pour more juice evenly over top.
