Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 large, thinly sliced onions
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 3/4 lb. bite size sirloin steak
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 can tomato paste
    1 can condensed consomme
    1 (8 oz.) can stems and pieces mushrooms
    salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce
    1 pt. sour cream
    1/2 c. cooking sherry
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 500\u00b0.
    Put meat in oven and reduce heat to 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Rub loin with soy sauce and then with Italian salad dressing. Should be medium-rare or check with meat thermometer.
