Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening until well mixed.
    Add milk and stir until soft dough is formed.
    Knead dough on lightly floured board and shape into smooth ball.
    Roll into 1/2-inch thick lengths and cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in very hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Yields 14 (2-inch) biscuits.
