Caramel Topped Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 c. sliced apples
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1/2 lb. caramels
    1/2 c. hot milk
Preparation
    In saucepan, steam the apples three minutes in 1/4 cup water. Turn out on cookie sheet to cool quickly.
    Arrange in 9-inch pastry lined pan.
    Combine the next eight ingredients and sprinkle over apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Meanwhile, melt in top of double boiler the milk and caramels.
    Pour over top of pie and continue baking 10 minutes more.
    Cool before serving.
