7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn into pieces
    1 c. diced celery
    1 medium onion
    1 (10 oz.) bag frozen peas
    1/2 c. green pepper
    8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    fresh parsley, chopped
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place into a 9 x 12-inch glass pan.
    Layer diced celery, diced onion, frozen peas (uncooked), green pepper, fried bacon (crumbled), Cheddar cheese and fresh parsley (chopped).
    Mix the mayonnaise and sugar.
    Spread on top.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
    (Stays well; doesn't wilt.)
