California Hot Chicken Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cooked, diced chicken
    2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1/2 c. slivered salted almonds
    1/4 c. pimento, cut in narrow strips
    1 1/4 c. mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. grated onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. crushed potato chips
    1/2 c. grated American cheese
    sugar (if needed)
Preparation
    Toss with fork the chicken, celery, almonds, pimento and mayonnaise blended with lemon juice, grated onion and seasonings. Fill a shallow greased casserole or individual ramekins.
    Mix grated cheese and potato chips. Sprinkle over salad mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
    If using a casserole, it should be heated through and lightly browned.
