Pizza Sauce I - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes or 8 qt. tomato juice
    3 lb. onions, chopped
    1/2 c. salt
    4 hot peppers or 1 tsp. red pepper
    2 c. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. basil leaves
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
Preparation
    Cook tomatoes
    until soupy, approximately 3 hours.
    Add the rest of the ingredients,
    except
    tomato
    paste and cook 1 hour. Add tomato paste and stir.
    Put in jars and cook 20 minutes.
