Abby'S Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    1 heaping c. whole pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix syrup, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla.
    Add eggs; mix.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Sprinkle pecans over filling.
    Bake pie about 1 hour.
    Makes 6 servings.
    (If using a gas oven, the pie should be baked 45 to 50 minutes.)
    If a toothpick inserted in center of pie comes out clean, pie is done (test after 45 minutes).
