Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
coarse salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar, salt and flour to yeast mixture.
Mix well until doughy.
Knead dough several minutes until dry and easy to work with.
Break off pieces of dough and form into pretzel, animal or alphabet shapes. Place on greased cookie sheets.
Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.
Bake in oven 12 to 15 minutes.
