Grandma Dicke'S German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    potatoes
    1 onion
    5 pieces bacon
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes, not too much, but done.
    Slice potatoes.
    Cut 1/2 of a small onion on top of potatoes.
    Cut bacon into small pieces and cook until yellow brown.
    Drain bacon and place on top of potatoes.
    Reserve grease.
    Cut other half of onion into the grease over a low fire.
    Place 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon flour in grease.
    Add enough water to make a thin sauce.
    Add 2 tablespoons vinegar or more, if necessary.
    Pour over potatoes.
