Southern Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. (6 serving size) Jell-o Vanilla or Banana Cream Pudding and Pie Filling
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3-3/4 c. milk
2 doz. vanilla wafers
1 large banana, sliced
3 egg whites
Dash salt
6 Tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Combine pudding mix, egg yolks and milk in saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture just comes to a boil. Remove from heat,
Cover surface of hot pudding with wax paper or plastic wrap.
Cool.
