Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. milk
    12 eggs
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put pan of milk in pan of water and heat.
    Beat eggs and add sugar.
    Mix about 2 cups of warm milk into egg mixture, then add it all to heated milk.
    When cool, add vanilla and strain.
