One-Bowl Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. unsifted flour
    1 egg
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. sour milk (2 tsp. vinegar in measuring cup and fill with milk) or 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. very hot water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease an 8-inch square pan or have ready 12 to 18 cupcake liners in cupcake pan.
    Do not mix until all ingredients are in the bowl. Beat all ingredients until smooth with mixer. Pour into prepared pan or cupcake liners (1/2 full). Bake at 350\u00b0 about 40 minutes for cake or 15 to 20 minutes for cupcakes. The top gets sticky as it cools.
