Cream Cheese Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
    2 to 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    food coloring
Preparation
    Mix softened cream cheese and peppermint extract.
    Gradually add powdered sugar; knead until no longer sticky.
    Divide into portions.
    Knead in food colors of your choice.
    Shape into 3/4-inch balls.
    Roll balls in powdered sugar.
    Flatten balls with a fork.
    Let dry at room temperature.
    Store loosely covered in refrigerator.
    Great gift item and fun for kids!
