Ingredients

3 lb. onions, sliced thin
4 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. oil
3 Tbsp. flour
2 (14 oz.) cans beef broth
3 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
3 oz. water
croutons
shredded cheese (Mozzarella or Swiss)
Preparation

Saute onions in butter.
Add oil.
Thicken with flour.
Add liquid and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
